Writer’s Guidelines

  1. Writers may submit articles to any editor. Publication
of articles is at the discretion of the editorial team. Editors maintain
the right to correct spelling and grammar. Substantive content changes
will be discussed with the writer.
  2. Using the following formatting features will help editors in
    preparing articles for publication:
The general rule of thumb for formatting is that less is better.

    • Use Times New Romans 12 point font for title, subtitles, and the
      body of the article.
    • Use bold, italic, and underline sparingly. Make the point clearly
      and avoid adding special emphasis.
    • No lines between paragraphs, indent paragraphs with tab, single
space between sentences, place punctuation inside quotation marks
      according to standard English usage.
    • Carefully proofread to correct spelling, grammar, and syntax.
  3. For books of the Bible, use Arabic instead of Roman numerals. If
    possible, use the following abbreviations:

    • Gen. Ex. Lev. Num. Deut. Josh. Judges Ruth 1 Sam. 2 Sam. 1 Kings 2
Kings 1 Chron. 2 Chron. Ezra Neh, Esther Job Ps. or Pss. Prov. Eccl.
Song of Solomon Isa. Jer. Lam. Ezk. Dan. Spell out the minor prophets
since people are typically more unfamiliar with them.
    • Mat. Mark Luke John Acts Rom. 1 Cor. 2 Cor. Gal. Eph. Phil. Col. 1
Thes. 2 Thes. 1 Tim. 2 Tim. Titus, Phile. Heb. Jas. 1 Pet. 2 Pet. 1
John 2 John 3 John Jude Rev.
